My 2 cents.
1. Very easy to get into!
2. Not very multiple multiple parts.
3. You get the hang of moving, firing guns and ultimately the wind(unless you play dem dirty dwarves of course) in a demo.
( what I'm saying here is its then not too complex)
4. Each race has race specific cards to make them unique.
5. Nice sculpts
6. Even nicer price.

Instead of starting a new tread, I think I'll just tag on here.
The game... hmmm... I'm feeling a 50/50 vibes from it. For one I love naval games, and this manage to captures the most vital part of the game, maneuvering.
It's simple enough to be quick and fun, without complicated mathematical calculations. Little house keeping, simple damage penalties, I'll have to say the rules and mechanics really hit it right.
And the "exploding dice" concepts is fun, adds a bit of excitement, yet might have push the luck factor a little too much for some. But suits the whole feel of how the game plays. "best with loud screams and shout"
The intro game... It felt like the drawfs does not stand a chance... The orca just have to aim true, and ram...
Nice simple mechanics, naval war game... So what's stopping me from screaming like a girl and dive right into the game?
Simple, the minis, they are so... Plain, amateurish, if I may. They do not shout at me, nit even talkbto me. I just can't connect with them.
Look at man-o-war, it was so long ago, yet their minis looks way cooler.
I'm a miniature man, the minis make or break a game fir me. No matter how much I like the game or the faction, if the minis does not appeal to me... I'll pass.
So, maybe... Just maybe when I have time I'll make my own ships, then I might get started with it

Had my first game yesterday commanding the Imperial fleet against some scurvy unwashed Shroud Mages.
Game mechanics are easy to pick-up (game shares same mechanics as Firestorm Armada) and quite elegant. The use of game cards makes this game unpredictable (I likee but could turn off those who demand complete control).
Fleets seems to be adequately differentiated leading to distinct play styles for different races which is another plus in my book.
Lastly, players will definitely need Fortuna on their side as good dice rolls and getting good cards early help. You can mitigate this by cycling through your deck fast and doing safer shots (eg. link fire) but I like taking risks which makes this another plus for me.
Overall, I think I'm going to enjoy this

First game impressions.............
Not bad. Not the best game system I have played but pretty good. Simple enough mechanics to get you into the action nice and quick. Uses the 'Bucket o Dice' method which I am not a big fan of..... but the game flows nicely and is fun. The races seem to be balanced OK and do play differently. The cards add some variety and randomness to the game which is only good when you get decent cards from the deck.
A few question marks about the long-term replayability at the shop, which seems to be a common occurance........
Game System - 7/10
Army/Force Balance - 8/10
Miniatures - 7/10
Complexity - Low
Overall - 7/10
