just thought of starting a thread where ppl can trade stuff...i think it would be beneficial for newbies who lack stuff n old timers with too much stuff...

me is looking for meltaguns, missile launchers and some flamers for space wolves. anybody have extras to spare? 1 or 2 heavy bolters won't hurt either.

kinda weird the space wolves pack got no meltaguns at all...

why is it that whenever i ask for meltaguns n missile launchers, ppl look at me like im a lunatic? why is it so hard to get some extras?

hopefully some ppl will take pity on my and 'pass' me some meltas and launchers.

Meltaguns and missle launchers are the 'in' weapons right now, so it's no wonder that nobody wants to trade or sell them away.
You can get wolf to order metal meltaguns from GW direct.
For missle launchers your best bet would be the online bits store.

But if you're really desperate then youre better off either casting your own meltaguns and making your own missle launchers out of stryene tubing.

I'm not sure on when it happened but it's definately before the new Nids codex. When I started back in Apr 09, everyone told me to go Melta, also cause I get to assault after shooting

But I'm not strictly Melta, also run Plasma and flamers.

It's the vehicles. The 5th ed rules (BRB and codexes) now favour mechanized armies more than before. Meltas will let you take out vehicles much more easily. Especially with the melta's half-distance +1d6 penetration.

i was always under the impression lascannons are the way to go if u wanna destroy vehicles.

hmmm...so i guess there is no easy or cheap way to do this.

Mounted on a vehicle, maybe. Or spammed in an static IG list. Maybe. Thing about meltas is that it can move and fire. With the speed of things these days, range is not that big a deal any more.

hmm...the SM devastator pack gives almost 2 of everything but only 1 missile launcher...zzzzz...

Eh, a little elaboration. Melta and multi-melta are best mounted on fast things like attack bikes or land speeders. Due to their short ranges. The other thing to do is to pile them into a transport and bring em to the front. Jump out and blast away. Meltas on foot-sloggers won't be nearly as effective.

Just google for 40k (space marine, ork etc.) bits. There are a few out there.

space wolves grey hunters have boltguns, ccw AND bolt pistols. i want to tack on the bolt pistols to my hunters who are holding boltguns. just to make em more,erm...nice? lol...
